1. Which qualities of personality help an artist to make art and which hinder?
I think the most important quality that helps is confidence that everything will work out. Usually a bad mood gets in the way of that.
2. What is your favorite pastime besides art?
I like to play the piano, do boxing, and rearrange the house.
3. Have you ever had a situation in your life that influenced your art positively/negatively? Or greatly changed your views on what you do?
When I grew up, I no longer wanted to be an artist, and when I went to Britannica and worked in advertising, the word «artist» was generally considered a pejorative. I think my disdain for art reached a culmination in those years, and I suddenly gave up my career and started painting.
4. Who would you like to talk to of any person who have ever lived or are living now? Why this person in particular?
Anton Chekhov, Valentin Serov, Boris Groys. I like their works.
5. How does your art change the world, the culture, yourself?
I love what I do, so my world is definitely getting better. I can't say about the rest of the world. I have no idea how I affect it.
6. What do you think about the future of contemporary art?
I think as long as man is emotional, art in one form or another will exist.
7. What do you think about the ups and downs of NFT? Do you have any NFT projects?
I don't do nft.
8. What is the most valuable thing for you (in the world, in life, in creativity)?
My condition, mentally and physically.
