In mid-June 2022, together with the MBar (Mercado del Sol) bar team, we organized a noisy event, timed to coincide with the annual SPIEF.
Our non-trivial collaboration was a special challenge: Bad Gallery with its trash ideas and unflagging desire to inoculate the masses with hipbist culture plus the restrained and luxurious MBar... We are different! But we have managed to organically mix both moods in one elegant and hooligan cocktail.
As a reference we took the cult "Silver Factory" by Warhol, but the embodiment was unique. Weibe extravagance, liberty and attraction of closed parties have kept, and seasoned it all catchy art and references, noisy laughter and the most relevant music.
We shot teasers (of course, with analog devices), created an active warm-up in social networks, and even put together a manifesto. The bar was decorated with posters, collages of Polaroid photos, and an installation of retro televisions. And our cameraman was dressed up as Andy Warhol, Jane Fort was attached to him and we invented a number of funny questions - they walked around the entire evening interviewing the guests.
The event was kicked off by a performance of street artists-Vova Tsygan, Ivan Shkulipa, and Danil Dege painted the windows of the first floor with their art.
The mood was buoyed by the live performance of STEREOTYPES, KITO JEMPERE and Mironov, as well as by cocktails created especially for the event by Andy, Jean-Michael and Nico 2.0.
And the room was just ready to explode from the amount of blinding starlight! Art community gathered together: celebrities, bloggers and opinion leaders, fervent supporters of modern art and fans of impeccable classics - a total of 600 guests, including Pokras Lampas, Lisa Gusevskaya, Zhidkovsky, Victoria Portfolio, Vasily Ostakhov, Yury Dormidoshin...
Party closed, so everyone was sent an invitation - in the form of a one-dollar bill (also a tribute to the King of Pop Art!).
